WHERE THE CULINARY TRADITIONS OF THE
ABBENANTE FAMILY CONTINUE.
The South Florida history began in 1974 when Raffaele and Maria Abbenante immigrated from the tiny Italian island known as Ponza. Together, they began selling pizza by the slice in Lake Worth, Florida. Using her Mom’s traditional Italian recipes, Maria introduced flavors of Italy to South Florida.
Over the next 35 years, the Abbenante family served thousands of locals and visitors and quickly, Lynora's became known as the Best Italian restaurant in South Florida.
On most days you might catch a glimpse of Maria who is still in the kitchen at Lynora’s restaurant preparing your dinner. You are invited to experience the full flavors of Italy whether cooking with Lynora’s products in your home with your own family or in one of Lynoras locations with ours!
WHO WE ARE
Maria Abbenante was born and raised in Ponza Italy. One of Maria’s favorite early memories was helping her grandmother, Lynora, make pasta at the family restaurant where the all ingredients were fresh, and everything was home made. Throughout her girlhood, Maria clocked countless hours by Lynora’s side learning how to cook and hone her culinary skills – a pastime that developed into a lifelong passion.
Angelo Abbenante was born into the restaurant business, Angelo Abbenante is a fourth-generation restaurateur, so it seemed almost inevitable he would end up in the hospitality industry. “Even though we are growing and expanding rapidly, we still have the Mom and Pop feel in all our locations, and total consistency and quality with the food and service. Our team is strong and understands hospitality. My vision is to expand Lynora’s and share the food, heritage and happiness I have been enjoying since I was a little boy, so that everyone can partake,” said Angelo.
